Meet quality, capacity and delivery requirements

AspectPL MES software has been proven in the plastics and packaging industry since 2009 but now many other sectors are also using AspectPL to manage their manufacturing.

In recent years the adaptability and agility of AspectPL MES software has been validated in extrusion, insulation, rotational moulding and even electronics as these clients demonstrate.

Roblan, an AspectPT customer in New South Wales perform metal stamping (pressing) to make bearing casings and other metal components.

Fletcher Insulation in Melbourne uses AspectPL MES software to make residential and commercial insulation and building membranes.

Also in Melbourne, Auto Pacific Group makes cargo management equipment including roof racks, towbars and trays using AspectPL.

In Auckland, Nautech Electronics operates a high-tech, automated factory and manufactures electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies for the automotive, marine, emergency services, aviation and military industries. They say AspectPL MES software has helped with real time metrics and OEE monitoring.

AspectPL simply requires a discrete signal for it to measure production.

In plastics, that signal is usually a pulse every time an item is made. In other industries this signal could be every time a container is filled or a metre of film is blown, or a pipe is extruded.

Assembly stations are another area where AspectPL can be utilized. Workers record data using a tablet – every time they finish a product, it is recorded in the system. This can be easily achieved by setting up the tablet in the assembly area as part of the finishing process, or scanning a carton of finished goods. Just like a machine AspectPL can be ‘connected’ to manual assembly stations and schedule and report on production.

Bob Dedekind AspectPT’s Technical Manager explains.

“AspectPL MES software was initially created for the plastics and packaging industry but now we know it can work just as well in many other verticals. As the examples above demonstrate, there are very few barriers to applying AspectPL MES software to many types of manufacturing.”
