AspectPL, a Manufacturing Execution system (MES), has been designed specifically for the plastics injection and blow molding industries.

AspectPL sits between the business administration system and the actual manufacturing machines and is connected to both.

AspectPL integrates to any business administration system using standard interfaces. The product can connect to any of the following:

• An ERP or MRP System or
• A financial accounting/ manufacturing system or
• A low end financial application such as Quickbooks or MYOB

On the plant floor, AspectPL connects to the manufacturing machines via a specialized PLC application.

AspectPL addresses three specific requirements of a plastic injection or blow molding company:

• Planning and Scheduling – The ADV Advanced Scheduler provides dynamic, visual and comprehensive scheduling services in real-time for all jobs entering the factory. Additional information required for effective factory planning is provided via comprehensive reports.
  
  
• See what’s happening – The RT Monitor visualizes and monitors the performance and availability of the manufacturing machines in real-time and against standards. This approach allows managers to take control of the operation and attend to issues as soon as they happen.
  
  
• Business intelligence and decision support system – detailed data collected by the RT Monitor is converted to information on the operational performance of the factory. The information is displayed in an easy to use form that allows managers to initiate productivity improvement programs in the factory.
